Dosage & Schedule
Pre-Exposure : 2-Dose regimen at Day 0 & 7
Post-Exposure : 4-Dose regimen at Day 0,3,7 & 14
Peak Incidence Age
Vaccination should be initiated immediately at the slightest risk of rabies contamination.
Characteristics
- It can be used before and after exposure to the rabies virus, as a primary vaccination or as a booster dose.
High Risk Groups
People in contact with potentially rabid animal species (such as dogs, cats, skunks, raccoons, bats). Adults living in or travelling to enzootic areas.
Common Side Effects
Mild redness and swelling at injection site

- Fever
- Severe allergic reaction (e.g. anaphylaxis) to any component of Verorab
